Music by swedish amiga mod wiz Mortimer Twang. Placed 3rd @ South Sealand Party 1996.
Arpanet is Gerald Donald, part of Dopplereffekt and formerly part of Drexciya with late James Stinson.
More Drexciya to come.
Cylob does his thing. 1995.
I’m linking to this because of the fantastic video by Michel Gondry. It shows the mathematics in music in such a nice and organic – bla bla – way. So gabbaheads, let’s celebrate that and not get angry with the bland music.
Great tune on one of Jormas design productions/music floppies for Amiga. How’sex-perience by RaatoMestari. 1996.
This is my favorite Squarepusher track from my fave album of his, Burningn’n Tree. Amen murderation!
The birth of hardcore. Holy fuck, this is so ahead of its time I can still barely believe it. Just check that video.
The 12″ is called Reflections of 2017, how’s that for a record released in 1990? Boom!
The person behind this is Marc Trauner a.k.a. Marc Acardipane. He co-founded the groundbreaking label Planet Core Productions a few months before this release, and he has released great music under so many aliases that I doubt he can keep track of them all himself. A true legend.
This is the seventh track on Polygon Window’s 1992 album Surfing on Sine Waves. Quality stuff. Very slow and dark as midnight on a moonless night. It’s a pretty good example of the link between what Richard James created together with Mike Dred, the grimy hard acid techno of Universal Indicator – and the crispy weirdness of his most recognised alter ego – The Aphex Twin.
While these massive horn sounds make me shiver with fear and awe, somehow they also make me think of the Ghost Valley courses in Mario Kart. What a great game. Wow.
A true classic oldie for all the
girls boys girls out there.
Speed garage will never die.
